What I Loved: This is exactly what I was looking for, when I started reading. Sweet romance, sweet characters; some but little conflict and a sappy smile at the end. I always enjoy reading a little bit about the sports, and the passion that the characters have for their chosen sport. A lot of times it makes me want to try it myself. Not this time though, I don’t think I’d do very well with hockey!I really loved how Pierce actually was pretty much as oblivious to Lia as she thought that he was, though she really went through lengths to make sure it was true for him and many others. However, when he laughed about the whole water bottle story, that sealed it for me; I pretty much loved him from that point on. He was this small-town superstar that had no idea he was embodying two different personalities. Lia was as well, so the whole online persona thing was a fun way to bring this all together. But my favorite moment between Lia and Pierce is when they skate together. ONE TIME they skate together, that is weird to me since they are both skaters…but what a fun, YA/Teenagey scene!!! Books need more fun and laughter and play and a little less of the wall-to-wall seriousness. Not So Much: This was another book where you can pretty much predict everything from the moment you pick up the book. That is okay. I mean I wanted a simple fun read, that’s what I got. But I do love it when the author throws me for a loop now and then. Also, we got ONE really good moment where Pierce blocks Lia in his arms in the ice ring, I kind of wish he had a little bit more of that in him.The Verdict: Another winner for me! I’ll be searching out more of Erin’s books when I need that silly smile of a happy book for sure. This book was perfect for YA’s – I wouldn’t mind if my 12 year old daughter read it.

I loved the plot of this novel, because I love the idea of using online forums to have a connection with someone, but then in real life things are a little different between the two characters. Pierce is kind of a tool to Lia, so I get why she is so angry at him. I also think he's just an oblivious boy, so I do give him the benefit of the doubt. I did really enjoy seeing their relationship develop.I love the hockey aspect of the novel, but also the ice skating on Lia's part too! I'm a kid that was around during the hey day of Michelle Kwan and Tara Lipinski so I'm kind of interested in both sports. I loved all the awesome hockey knowledge in this one. It was also interesting to read about Lia's struggle with her Dad's death and how watching hockey without him has been really hard for her.I went back and forth on what I wanted to rate this book, but I decided to give it five stars because I was so consumed with reading this one I read it within a couple days. I loved reading about Pierce and Lia's romance. I've already read the second book in this series too, which is more of a companion novel than a direct sequel. I definitely would love for there to be more books in this series. Give me all the hockey romances!Happy Reads Everyone!

loved it! i have absolutely nothing bad to say, the story was an engaging, light and easy read. i read it in one sit! i loved how it was not the usual boy and girl meet and slowly fall in love. i loved how it was portrayed and how Lia and Pierce already knew each other (or had some sort of history where they knew each other) but he could never remember/recognise who she was (so relatable!) but as the story progressed and they were forced to spend more time together he became more aware of her and this is discluding the online persona she used to talk to him, which helped her see underneath the shell of his exterior. i find the online persona is what really made the book work and it helps set Lia and Pierce up to actually start to like each other (especially from Lia's perspective). the interactions are comedic and sweet and for once the female lead doesn't swoon for the heartthrob of the story but instead is actually unappreciative of him. All in all i recommend this book if you're looking for a cute and original YA story that's an enjoyable read with a happy ending :)

super cute, quick read. As a former figure skater myself, Fletcher nailed everything related to figure skating in the novel. Really enjoyed it. If you love figure skating, hockey and cute young adult romances, you'll love this one!

I loved this book! It was well written and the character development was spot on. As a former figure skater, Special Education teacher, and mother of teens I was impressed with how adept Erin is in creating each character's unique voice and all of the details that rang true ~ I was especially fond of her development of Mr. Koslov & Carson. The plot was exciting; kept me turning pages long past my bedtime. If this were out during my teen years, (which I spent either at the rink or at school) I'm certain it would have been my favorite book; (although the texting & internet references would have seemed sci-fi to me at the time;-)

Cute love story developing at just the right pace. Interesting and believable characters. Great writing from the author. All in all a sure success of you want a sweet and romantic YA story.

This was such a cute story, and it was pretty clean--nothing ever got taken too far (though it was implied once or twice). I loved the romance and it was super sweet, and I love how the characters brought out the best in each other. They helped each other become more confident and humble, they helped each other grow, and they understood each other. I also love the ice skating competition and practices. Overall it was just a really cute book. So glad I got it!

This was super cute and adorable and filled with lots of sports, which I love. I can't wait to read more from Fletcher!
