This box contains the Earth Magic oracle cards securely wrapped with a paper "ribbon" and the instruction booklet was on top. The book itself is about the size of your hand and includes an author background, introduction, various spreads to use for a reading and an index for the cards. It is simple, helpful and insightful.These cards have absolutely beautiful artwork. Even if you don't feel connected to the act of oracle reading or meditating, you will enjoy these cards for their aesthetics. They are larger than a regular deck of cards, and have a thickness and gloss to their stock that make them high quality. It makes a lovely addition to your bookshelf or altar.It’s important to make note that the publisher considered a reviewer's specific suggestion and included page numbers in the instruction booklet so that you can now easily look up the card name in the index near the front and just flip to the corresponding page. I was very pleased by that!I think these cards are an excellent gift or starting point for someone with a newfound interest in tarot. No, it’s not exactly the same, but there are similarities and Oracle cards provide a more simplistic, yet meditative approach that can be a wonderful introduction and useful every day tool.
These are actually really good. Sometimes I struggle taking oracle cards seriously (always been more of a Tarot girl myself), but these have a lot of depth and symbolism to chew on. They're not overly optimistic or frilly, they're positive, negative and everything in between. I'm a writer and often use them to help figure out characters and situations and they work beautifully for me and that can't always be said to be the case.
I was going to originally give this review 3 stars, but I just couldn't , due to the absolutely gorgeous artwork and the powerful spiritual message that these cards bring. They are wonderful. However...my major complaint with this deck is that the cards are not individually numbered.There are 48 cards in this deck, so if I pull a card (as I like to do each morning with my meditations). Well, I'd have to flip through the whole handbook that accompanies this deck backwards and forwards just trying to find the card based on the miniature pictures in the booklet....which can be very time consuming.I found this so annoying, that I actually pulled out a pen and numbered the cards myself in the corner of each card , then wrote the number in the accompanying booklet to match up, so as to make it easier to locate the card with the page in the book.Of course, I could just look at the card, and pretty much interpret it as I CHOOSE to see it without looking in a guide book, sure.and sometimes that's what alot of us do I'm sure.But with a new deck, It's nice to be able to have a little guidance on the cards.So I read the booklets that accompany them just to get an introduction to the deck.My suggestion to the printers -If they spin out any new editions of this deck for the future, If they could put numbers on each card , it would make it infinitely easier for people to locate the card in the booklet and not spend 10 minutes flipping around trying to find out where it is.Just a suggestion.Otherwise, I love these cards.
I'm a Pisces so I when I was "called" to buy this deck I just didn't understand why. I'm water. It's Earth. The first one I gave to my daughter because that particular deck didn't resonate with me. I was still being pulled to this deck so I bought another. I have done about half a dozen self readings and about that for others. It has been nothing but exceptional!!! One of my favorites!!! I used it today for a quick card pick for my outside adventure. No Lie... I got Gaia!!! How Perfect is that!?
A while ago, I was drawn to this deck from the moment I saw the artwork on the box!! I didn't purchase this deck until about 3 years later, but I'm so glad I have it now!! The spirit of the cards talked my ear off lol, but my readings were so profound using this deck. They're honestly the best oracle cards I've ever used!
A very beautifully colored set of Oracle Cards. When you refer to the book that comes with it you will find a brief description of each card then it will go into detail about what the card may offer for a reading. They are very easy to use and understand even before looking up what the card may offer. I think that those who purchase this set will find it very easy to use. Some of the cards remind me of a regular deck of tarot cards as you can see the Mountain is Strength, then it backs away from a regular set of tarot cards via Childhood (innocence) which shows a more evolved Oracle Card. This set is most definitely a must have. But don't take my word for it, order them today.
The cards in pristine shape, and have a nice thickness to them. The artwork is nice, and kind of gives you a homey, relaxed feeling.I like the small companion book as it has great tips for anyone just starting out in reading oracle and tarot cards, and is small amd easy to take with you.
This is my first set of oracle cards. I feel as if the images speak directly to my soul. I have had them for about a month and still haven't delved into the guide book. I enjoy exercising my intuition by freely interpreting the cards. My husband got them for my birthday and I am so grateful. They are larger than playing cards, but not to large to handle comfortably. They are shiny but not slick. I love them so much.
