Pizza is life
This is slightly bigger than many calendars, and that's a plus. But there is too much useless space taken up on the sides, top and bottom, allowing for smaller daily squares (for notes and appointments) than they could have easily included. But it's no worse than smaller calendars.The main minor irritant I have with it is that it tries to be appropriate for far too wide an audience, with holidays for multiple countries and religions, thereby taking up far more space on the calendar than would be appreciated by most people. If there are Muslim, Jewish, and Christian people all using this calendar, and they're originally from the U.S., UK, and Canada, then the large number of associated religious and national holidays will be appreciated. Otherwise, this is trying to do too much for too many, thereby wasting space on the calendar for personalized calendar items.The photography is outstanding, however! You'd think you really were looking at a pizza box on every page, with a real pizza inside.
OK, for those who love pizza will no doubt get this calendar featuring yummy pizza images.The thing is for me, I don't eat much pizza because of the carbs and to be truthful, pizza is my kryptonite. Why I got this calendar, to test my resolve, to test my will power or to remind me what I'm missing out on. Ahh, yes...pizza, how I yearn for a slice, but I can not. So, I will just look at this calendar for 2019.And knowing me, gain a few pounds just looking at it.Overall, a calendar for the pizza fan, squares enough to jot down small notes and huge photos of pizza.
Most calendars I've used have the picture on the top and calendar squares on the bottom half of a hanging calendar. This calendar is reversed with the calendar squares on the top half and the picture of a pizza on the bottom half. The top half is printed on cardboard colored paper to mimic the top inside half of a pizza box. I think writing can be a little hard to read on top of the cardboard color if you make notes in any of the squares. There is no notation of any kind to indicate what kind of pizza you're looking at. You just have to take your best guess to the toppings. I thought there could have been more variety. They're all on the same type of crust cut in the same sort of way.
This is 12 month calendar with big pictures of various pizzas. The top page of the calendar is the month with days in 1"squares (approx). to make small notations. The bottom page is a glorious picture of a thin-crust pizza. The toppings are not listed so if you want one you'll have to figure it out from looking at it. They do look tasty and I think it might be kind of cruel.....especially for those of us who are trying to watch our weight but I love it anyway. October's pizza looks the most appealing to me and January the least appealing (plain cheese).What else can I say? It's a calendar with a bunch of pizza pictures.
Each of the calendar spreads is a photo of an open pizza box containing a pizza. They did make a photo of a real pizza with real pizza box, so most of the tops have grease stains. The stains are located on the part with the calendar grid, so what you see is calendar with stains. I wish they put the pizzas in pristine boxes before making pictures. It just looks like real stains, like you ate on your calendar or something.There is no recipes for the pizzas, nor they tell you the pizza's or the pizza makers names. The pizza halves of the pictures are very good quality and look very appealing.
